Meet The Teachers
Michelle Jung found a passion in yoga that transformed her life. She is excited to pass along her love and knowledge of the practice to the Tiger Strong community. Michelle is a certified yoga instructor through House of Jai’s 200-Hour Teacher Training and received her Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Yogi Beans. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theater from Northwestern University. Michelle believes that yoga should be experienced in a fun way that encourages and enlightens each student individually. The movement aspect of yoga drew her to the practice, but it was the mind, body and spiritual connection that secured it.
Risa’s Vinyasa flow class focuses on strength and fluidity, with a strong emphasis on correct form and alignment.
Having practicing yoga for over 10 years, movement has always been a part of Risa’s life. She was a ballet dancer in her youth, which evolved to modern dance in college, resulting in graduating from the University of Buffalo with a BA in Dance. After dancing, Risa discovered yoga; finding the smooth transition of movement. She then traveled to India, where she learned more about yoga, the background, and Ayurveda. In 2008, she completed her first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Sacred Strength Yoga (at Equinox). In 2010 she was certified in chair yoga and currently she is studying for her 300 hour Certification from Pure Yoga, after just completing (2017) her 200 hour certification from Pure Yoga.
The movement aspect of yoga drew her to the practice, but it was the mind, body and spiritual connection that secured it.
